PRIDE NEWSLETTER - 1/10/25

rachiepants

Hi Fam 🌈

New year, same Pride!

It's the year of our lord (by which we mean Chappell Roan) 2025 and already it's one for the history books. At the top of our minds, of course, are all the people and animals being displaced by the horrific Los Angeles fires. The footage and stories being shared are a poignant reminder of our shared humanity. This is a long road and we're just at the beginning, but if there is one thing that queer folks know how to do it's pull together and rise from the ashes. And we will.

But amid the pain, there was also a lot of cause for queer joy! Whether it be drag superstarLady Camden opening up about her new documentary and desire to return to the Werk Room, or the spicy shade coming from DILF Mansion this week. Not to mentionKate Winslet reminding us why she is our — and everyone‘s — ultimately lesbian boyfriend. (Not sure what that means? No worries we have an explainer.) We also got great news about howdoxyPep might be protecting against more STIs than anticipated!

In other words, it’s been quite a week!

Plus, check out what the staff of PRIDE have been up to this week below! ⬇️

Cheers and be safe out there! ❤️

🏳️‍🌈 PRIDE IN THE STREETS! 🏳️‍🌈

PRIDE’s Ricky Cornish ended the year doing his two favorite things! He closed out the year attending Jinkx Monsoon and BenDeLaCreme’s incredible drag holiday show at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas before heading to Los Angeles to dance the night away at the Forever Midnight festival on New Year’s Eve. Talk about starting 2025 strong!

PRIDE ON OUR SCREENS 👀

Birdeater; the traitors; today in gay

Here’s what we’re watching, listening, and vibing to this weekend!

🎥 Film: Birdeater

This queer-inclusive Australian horror film follows a group of friends head to a remote cabin for a stag weekend of partying, but instead of having fun dark secrets bubble to the surface and the tension ramps up between friends and lovers.

📺 Stream & Chill: The Traitors (Season 3)

This reality series is so deliciously camp of course we’re obsessed. Along with host Alan Cumming who is back to twirl his metaphorical mustache as host, this season features several queer stars including RuPaul’s Drag Race winner and We’re Here’s Bob the Drag Queen, Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause, The Bachelorette’s Gabby Windey, The Biggest Loser’s Bob Harper, and British Royal Lord Ivar Mountbatten.

🎧 In Our Ears: Today in Gay Podcast

We deserve nice things that make us smile, so we are madly in love with Today in Gay which is a “short, joyful podcast delivering news impacting the queer community Monday through Friday,” hosted by Nay Bever, Vico Ortiz, and Bex-Taylor Klaus — plus, it was created by Jasmin Savoy Brown.

THIS IS WHAT PRIDE LOOKS LIKE ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
