She may be Canadian, but as proud member of the LGBTQ community and woman of the world, Tegan Quin took to Tegan and Sara’s official blog to talk to fans about gay marriage passing in New York, her time at San Francisco Pride with Revel and Riot, and record a personal video for the Self Evident Project.
Get your weekly Tegan fix and a whole lot of equality. What more could a gay girl want?
In her “post pride dispatch!” Quin thanks everyone who visited the R&R booth at SF Pride:
“We had an amazing time selling shirts and talking about LBGTQ stuff with you guys! I even got a sunburn! So I won’t be forgetting Pride for at least another week! Ha. A big thanks to everyone who came out to the Revel and Riot pre-Pride party as well! We danced our butts off and you all were so sweet! All of us associated with R+R appreciated the support and felt the love! San Francisco Pride was the best I’ve ever attended!”
“Speaking of Pride,” the singer, songwriter and musician continued, “my heart swelled with pride when gay marriage became legal in New York State this past week. Sara and I believe in equality for all people. It blows my mind and saddens me greatly to think that in so much of America and the world that Sara and I and so many people we love and respect are not considered equal under the law.”
Quin encouraged all their fans to join the fight for equality, regardless of their sexual orientation. The sister act is gearing up for a few Canadian tour dates, but that didn’t stop Tegan from recording a quick video for iO Tillett Wright’s Self Evident project.
