Mariah Carey Dresses in Drag for 'Obsessed' Video

The battle of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon with Eminem continued Monday as Carey's new single "Obsessed" music video shoot had her dressed in costume as Eminem. Scenes were filmed at New York's Plaza Hotel with Carey playing a man in two costumes. With the exception of the beard she sports in both, she looks just like the rapper (and it's not very flattering).

Carey posted a Tweet on Tuesday "Check out my website to see a photo of the star of my new 'Obsessed' video! LYM!!" Several other photos have also been posted from other sources.

Brett Ratner directs the video. He worked on some of other projects with Carey, including "Touch My Body" and "Heartbreaker."

Set to go on sale August 25, Carey's next album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel features "Obsessed" as the first single. Eminem is not specifically mentioned, but plenty of the lyrics are strong suggestions the single is a response to Eminem's "Bagpipes From Baghdad" on Relapse, where he raps about getting Carey back from her husband, "Nick Cannon better back the f--- up," as a warning. "I'm not playing/ I want her back, you punk." Despite these lyrics, Carey continues to claim Eminem's statements that the two dated for six months are untrue.

On her new track, Carey sings "Why are you so obsessed with me/ Boy I wanna know/ Lying that you're sexing me/ When everybody knows/ It's clear you're upset with me... Why are you so obsessed with me? You're delusional/ Boy, you're losing your mind... It must be the weed, it must be the E/ 'Cause you be poppin', you get it poppin'," a possible reference to his struggle with drugs.

Cannon retaliated against Eminem by posting an angry blog in May, prior to the rapper toning down his diss in a BBC interview later, which defused some of the tension. He acknowledged the "harsh" lyrics, he said of Cannon, "I had no idea he was gonna take it like he took it... What I actually meant to say is, I wish them the best. That's what I meant to say. That's the whole message of the record."

Confirmed by singer/songwriter The-Dream in an interview, the track is directed at someone, but refrained from confirming their exact identity. The "Dancing on the Moon" singer helmed most of Carey's upcoming project with producing partner Tricky Stewart.
