In the wake of New York legalizing gay marriage, YouGov’s BrandIndex report comes just in time shedding light on the “brands best perceived by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.”
So take care of all that pesky wedding present shopping for the onslaught of same-sex weddings you’re sure to be invited to by shopping LGBT’s favorite brands.
A new report from YouGov BrandIndex finds Netflix, Subway, Amazon.com, Google, and YouTube are the top five beloved brands currently cashing in on gay customer’s patronage.

And while you can’t give the gift of Google or YouTube, and a Subway gift card may not feel appropriate for a wedding shower or nuptial gift, an Amazon.com wish list buy, Disney park tickets, iPhone or Mac store cashola, and even a Nike and Lowes gift card could provide some seriously appreciated gifts to LGBT newlyweds.
LifeInc.com reports, “YouGov BrandIndex daily surveys about 5,000 shoppers daily. To get this list, the company looked at positive and negative perceptions of various brands among people who identify themselves as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender.”
Apparently, they declined to disclose which companies LGBT shoppers perceived as their least favorites, but they did note the top twenty LGBT 'Buzz Improvers' brands of 2011:
