Madonna paid homage to Michael Jackson on Saturday night at the 23,000-seat O2 - the same London arena - where the King of Pop was to take the stage for his "This is It" 50 concerts tour, according to CastTV.com.
The gay Icon who has been deeply affected by Jackson's sudden death previously said in a statement: "I can't stop crying over the sad news, I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."
A picture of a young Michael Jackson popped on the big screen above the stage during Madonna's performance of "Holiday" then a Michael Jackson impersonator, sporting the famed sequined jacket, white T-shirt, white glove and white socks, came on and proceeded to dance to Jackson's Wanna Be Starting Something recreating all of the King of Pop's distinctive moves.
When the number ended, an enthused Madonna told the roaring crowd "Let's give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known. Long live the king!"
