Heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson's four-year old daughter Exodus died following a freak accident in which she hung herself inside their Phoenix, AZ home according  to AP.

Exodus's 7-year-old brother discovered her at about 10:30 Monday morning. Her neck was caught in a cord dangling from the console of the treadmill machine.

The boy immediately alerted his mother who was in another room cleaning. She removed Exodus off the cord, dialed 911 and proceeded to perform CPR on her daughter.

On site officers and firefighters rushed the little to nearby ER at St. Joseph's Hosptial and Medical Center where she was put on life support.

Police believe the girl was playing on the exercise equipment when she accidentally got tangled in a cord attached to the machine.

"Initial interviews and a preliminary examination of the scene indicate this was a tragic accident," police spokesman Sgt. Andy Hill told the press.

The family released a statement regarding Exodus: There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal."
