Move over heterosexual burger joints, because the Gay Burger has officially arrived thanks to notorious gay prankster Elijah Daniel!
The former Mayor of Hell, Michigan and rewriter of the Bible to include Rihanna and drag queens has pulled off his fair share of gay pranks over the years, but this might be his most charitable one yet. If you're in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York City, you can now order from the very real Gay Burger menu and 100 percent of the proceeds are going to the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
Daniel launched Gay Burger with the help of Katia Ameri, a tech entrepreneur, along with Silicon Valley-based startup house.ai.
"MEAT BETWEEN BUNS?" reads the website tagline. "SEEMS PRETTY GAY ALREADY. LET’S MAKE IT GAYER, AND FOR CHARITY."
The menu includes items like the "Love Me Daddy" burger, "I Like Chicks" burger (both with gay-oli of course), "Gay Fries" ("Fries but they’re gay, ya know?"), and so much more.
Of course, shock and outrage are already pouring out on Twitter, but Daniel and fans of the restaurant are taking it in stride.
"This is my favorite restaurant to order from when I am in LA," one Twitter user responded. "The jizz sauce is to die for — no I’m not gay."
The restaurant doesn't have a brick and mortar location (yet) but has been launched out of other kitchens in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. Daniel says that the surge of orders has already helped save the local Los Angeles restaurant the operation is working out of.
"THE RESTAURANT THAT THE LA #GAYBURGER LOCATION IS WAS STRUGGLING, BUT TODAY THEY HAD TO CLOSE 4 HOURS EARLY BECAUSE THEY SOLD OUT OF ALL ITEMS WITH GAYBURGER HE'S SUCH A NICE MAN AND HE SO HAPPY IM SO HAPPY FOR THEM OMG," he tweeted.
The internet is buzzing over the start of the surprise food chain launch, with #GayBurger trending on Twitter ever since its launch.
Gay Burger is now available in LA, SF, and NYC on DoorDash, Postmates, and GrubHub.
