Cracker Barrel is ours now.

Cracker Barrel has banned a pastor who called for gays to be executed from bringing his congregation to their restaurant.

An event for the All Scripture Baptist Church was scheduled to take place at the Cleveland, Tennessee Cracker Barrel on June 29. The pastor of said church, Grayson Fritts, is the pastor who has been making headlines recently for screaming about how the government should kill the gays.

Cracker Barrel CEO, Sandra Cochran, stepped in when she discovered the planned event at one of their locations, and sent down the word that it would not be allowed.

“At Cracker Barrel, we work hard to foster a culture that is welcoming and inclusive -- we have a zero-tolerance policy for discriminatory treatment or harassment of any sort,” they wrote in a statement.

“We serve everyone who walks through our doors with genuine hospitality, not hate, and require all guests to do the same.”

Fritts’s despicable hate speech comes from a sermon that was posted to the All Scripture Baptist Church's website earlier this month. It has since been deleted, though copies still exist on YouTube.

“God has instilled the power of civil government to send the police in 2019 out to the LGBT freaks and arrest them and have a trial for them, and if they are convicted, then they are to be put to death,” he said in part of his hour-long tirade.

Fritts garnered particular attention for his drastic homophobia because he had also been working as a deputy in Knox County for two decades. The district attorney general said her office had never received any complaints against Fritts, but that his comments were “personally offensive and reprehensible,” and that all pending cases he worked would be reviewed.

In the meantime, it’s good to know at least Cracker Barrel has our backs. 2019, what a trip.
