Logan Paul Says He's 'Going Gay' in March—and People Aren't Happy
Logan Paul needs to stop, once and for all.
YouTube's Logan Paul is, once again, making headlines (and yes, he's still extremely problematic).
The fallen YouTube personality, best known for his many tone-deaf and inappropriate videos, is back in the news for controversially stating that he will attempt to "go gay" for a month. During an episode of his weekly podcast, Paul (along with his co-host Mike Majlak) announced that his 2019 resolution is to "go gay" for the whole month of March—an announcement that prompted both boys to erupt into laughter (because there is nothing funnier than homosexuality apparently?).
The outcry from people on social media has been swift however, defending the LGBTQ+ community from this extremely harmful accusation that being gay is somehow a choice (and not only a choice, but a gag).

“Yet another swing and a miss from @LoganPaul. You can't just 'go gay' for a month for a laugh. And for all the people defending this and saying it's just a joke – even if it is, it's tone-deaf and not funny https://t.co/uYhGpmBsAl”— James Besanvalle (@James Besanvalle) 1547204961
“@Mud2Mugs @LoganPaul he’s not exploring his sexuality. he’s mocking gay men and using the lgbt community as a publicity stunt for views, and on top of that, is promoting the false belief that being gay is a choice to his young and impressionable audience.”— dan!el ✰ (@dan!el ✰) 1547233507
“Obviously to @LoganPaul being gay is some sort of punchline to a joke. Make sure to tell that to youth that kill themselves because they struggle with being gay. Shame on him once again. https://t.co/7HE1t6AxC9”— Josh Seefried (@Josh Seefried) 1547220647

“Logan Paul: "I'm going gay"

Gays:”— Amos Azazel (@Amos Azazel) 1547221845
“Logan Paul, can't you at least go 1 year without preying on some group of people (From the suicidal to the homosexual) to gain views and undeserved publicity? You're disgusting.

Being gay isn't a fucking choice or a hobby. You can't "go gay for a month and switch back". Asshole”— Ambilina 🦁 (@Ambilina 🦁) 1547241419
This news comes a year after Paul's mainstream fall from grace, when he posted a vlog during a trip through Aokigahara (Japan’s "suicide forest") after he encountering a hanging body—a sight which publicly mocked and laughed at. Now if Paul's "going gay" resolution doesn't fill you with anger for some reason, that should.
