Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Is Our New Fave Dancing Meme

Lemme hear you say "BLUE WAVE!!"

Yesterday, history was made when US Congress swore in the highest number of minority representitives (specifically women) into office, swinging the pendulum of power in the House back into the hands of the Democrats.

But the Republican right-wing was certainly not pleased with their demotion, attacking some of the Dems over social media. Included in these petty attacks was one of our favorite rising stars, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, specifically for living in a house as a child and for having a high school nickname, "Sandy." (And yes, you read that right.)

In a tweet that features a video of a younger Alexandria literally just dancing and having fun, now-deleted Twitter user @AnonymousQ1776 wrote, "Here is America’s favorite commie know-it-all acting like the clueless nitwit she is...High School video of "Sandy" Ocasio-Cortez." 

Ever since the original tweet went viral, the dance video has amassed hundreds of remixes and parodies, including one from Alexandria herself (proving how good of a sport she is despite these how ridiculous criticisms against her are).
