13 Times Michel Gerard Was the Best Character on 'Gilmore Girls'

Michel Gerard, the prickly French concierge played by Yanic Truesdale who works with Lorelai Gilmore at the Independence Inn and Dragonfly Inn, doesn’t get nearly enough credit. His constant pessimism, biting sarcasm, and brutal honestly provide an antidote to the cloyingly cheery world of Stars Hollow. Though little is revealed about Michel’s personal life in the first seven seasons of Gilmore Girls, the first episode of the revival reveals he’s married to Frederick and they’re planning on adopting a child. With our favorite Gilmore Girls character out of the closet, now seems like the perfect time to celebrate the times he stole the show.
