Bob the Drag Queen Drops TikTok-Inspired 'B*tch Like Me' Music Video

Between the Emmy Award-winning HBO series We’re Here, a hosting gig on The Pit Stop for the all-winners edition of All Stars 7, a guest judge spot on Legendary season three, and all of her digital content shared on YouTube, Patreon, and other social media pages, Bob the Drag Queen has been giving RuPaul’s Drag Race fans everything they want.

Alas, many dedicated fans had been missing new original music from Bob as well. Thankfully, the winner of Drag Race season eight is making her big comeback to music with a new original song titled “B*tch Like Me” – the lead single from her upcoming EP.

“This single goes a lot harder than other things I’ve done before,” Bob said in a release. “I think when I was on Drag Race, I was trying to be mindful of the audience and image that comes with the show. But I think that, over time, I’ve finally curated an audience and fans that really like and appreciate me for me, which makes me feel more comfortable.”

Directed by the legendary Assaad Yacoub, the music video for “B*tch Like Me” was entirely shot on iPhone and drew inspiration from TikTok transitions – making it an instant viral sensation.

Bob explained, “I really genuinely just love TikTok, and even if I had no followers, I’d still probably spend a lot of time on there scrolling and double tapping. I remember googling if there was a ‘vertical music video’ or a ‘TikTok music video’ and I hadn’t seen one yet, so I just thought, ‘Where you see a void, you fill it.’”

Best known for singles like “Purse First” and “Yet Another Dig” (featuring Alaska), Bob is an incredible lyricist who always brings her wit and sense of humor to music. Now, one can be sure that “B*tch Like Me” will enter that echelon of hit songs.
