This is a fantastic week for music fans, with a new collaboration from LGBTQ+ allies Dolly Parton and Kelly Clarkson and new releases by queer artists such as Saucy Santana and Gia Woods.
First and foremost, Parton’s classic hit song “9 to 5” has new version featuring powerhouse vocals from Clarkson. This new collab between the two popstars is promoting the upcoming documentary film Still Working 9 to 5, which will feature Parton, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dabney Coleman looking back at the impact of the original 9 to 5 movie and examining the “evolution of gender inequality and discrimination in the workplace” within the last 40 years.
Otherwise, LGBTQ+ artists of all different walks of life are still delivering bops on a weekly basis – keeping the music aficionados fed with great new bops! Saucy Santana has a catchy new single, “I’m Too Much,” and Gia Woods just dropped her latest single, “Cover Girl.” This week’s must-listen list also features Willow Smith’s “curious/furious,” Jada Michael’s “GO,” and Mya Byrne’s “Autumn Sun.” Time to add these songs to your playlists!
Scroll through to listen to the best new songs from LGBTQ+ artists and allies released this week.
