Queer people are still recovering from (and replaying!) Beyoncé’s Renaissance album a week after its release – but the show must go on, and brand-new LGBTQ+ jams have been dropped for your enjoyment this weekend. From new collabs with Madonna to the long-awaited return of pop superstar Carly Rae Jepsen to Shea Couleé’s dazzling music video of “Let Go” and “Your Name,” this is a very exciting music for music from LGBTQ+ artists and allies.
Besides the Renaissance of it all, other recent albums that have had the LGBTQ+ community on a chokehold include Lizzo’s Special, Hayley Kiyoko’s PANORAMA, Lauv’s All 4 Nothing, and Maggie Rogers’ Surrender. In the meantime, there are also upcoming albums that queer people are already very excited about, such as Omar Apolo’s Ivory (Marfil), Megan Thee Stallion’s Traumazine, Demi Lovato’s HOLY FVCK, Panic! At The Disco’s Viva Las Vengeance, and Madonna’s Finally Enough Love, to name a few.
While we all wait for those exciting releases to drop on our streaming services, let’s bop to new hit songs from veteran artists and up-and-coming musicians trying to leave their mark in the music industry and among the queer community.
Scroll through to listen to this week’s best new music releases from both LGBTQ+ artists and allies.
