Soundtrack of Pride: alextbh Vibes to KAYTRANADA, Lady Gaga, & BANKS
The queer, Malaysian pop/R&B artist is bringing some brooding dance vibes to the bedroom with his playlist!
We all have those songs that are forever ingrained in our coming-of-age stories. Songs that gave us hope, played during our first kiss, made us feel fierce, or simply helped us understand ourselves a little bit better. This can be particularly true for LGBTQ+ artists.
Throughout the month of June, and only on PRIDE, LGBTQ+ artists are curating and sharing playlists that reflect their formative years—their Soundtracks of Pride.
Ahead of his upcoming EP that is set to drop on July 17, pop/R&B artist alextbh is bringing some brooding dance vibes to the bedroom with his playlist.
"I know everyone is itching to hit the nearest gay club and sweat it out for Pride night, but I guess miss Rona had other plans!" alextbh tells PRIDE.
Celebrated as "Malaysia's first queer pop star," the 21-year-old's playlist includes other queer artists like KAYTRANADA and Le1f as well as pop stars Charli XCX, Lady Gaga, and even a BANKS remix.

"I wanna bring that euphoric feeling into the bedroom, and this does the job," he says of his choices. "Pair this playlist with a homemade Long Island (or your favourite cocktail) and you're good to go!"
