Jordy Is the Vulnerable Pop Singer We Can't Help But Fall For

"Clearly, the love interest is going to be a guy because I'm into guys."

Remember the name... Jordy is the rising pop sensation we've got our eye on! The openly gay singer-songwriter sat down with PRIDE to chat about being stuck in the friend-zone, wearing his heart on his sleeve, and the beginnings of his musical career.

His single, "Just Friends," follows Jordy as he struggles to garner the attention of the boy he likes, desperate to avoid the friend-zone once again. With an adorable storyline and a charmingly vulnerable lead singer, Jordy demands your empathy - you might find yourself falling for him yourself. The video has amassed over 100,000 views.

Being open about your sexuality is still a risk in the music industry, one that many artists don't take on until after they're massively successful, if at all. For Jordy, liking dudes is just a part of who he is, so it was a no brainer to feature a male love interest in his music videos.

"I feel like I'm just really lucky to have grown up in a community where my family was just super accepting," he told PRIDE. "Honestly, I really didn't even think twice about it. I was like, clearly, the love interest is going to be a guy because I'm into guys. The artwork is going to be two boys holding hands. The love interest in the music video will certainly not be a woman but a man, because I'm interested in men," Jordy chuckled. "I recognize how lucky I am and how fortunate I am so if I could use that comfort to inspire other people to feel more comfortable with themselves, that's my main goal."
