SZA's SNL Performance Was Too Much Perfection to Handle
Nothing short of a religious experience.
SZA's album Ctrl is already the altar that I worship at, so it made complete sense for the Grammy-nominated artist to turn her debut performance on Saturday Night Live into a religious experience. SZA performed her hit "The Weekend"—a gorgeous track about sharing a man with three other women—with the assistance of some wind instruments and a full gospel choir. It was, for lack of a better word, heavenly.
Later in the show, SZA returned with "Love Galore," arguably her breakout hit.
