For those of you who fell in love with Billy Gilman as an adorable child country singer in the earliest of 2000s, this is quite the time to be alive. Billy (who came out as gay in 2014) is now back and better than ever as a contestant on The Voice, and as part of Team Adam he's made it to the top 8 performers on season 11. Yesterday, he continued to demonstrate why he's totally earned that spot with a knockout cover of Céline Dion's "I Surrender," and we surrender to wanted to listen to it on repeat all day today. Come for the vocals, stay for the Phantom of The Opera-esque theaterics.
Amidst the chandeliers and billowing smoke, Billy shines like a star and we're rooting for him to stay in the game til the end. Things certainly have changed for Billy in the last few years, and we can't wait to see what the future holds!
