The Euphoria fandom and the Hunger Games fandom are about to unite for a very good reason.
Hunter Schafer, who plays Jules on Euphoria, has just joined the cast of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes – a film based on the novel of the same name that takes place many decades prior to the events involving Katniss Everdeen.
In the novel, Coriolanus Snow – who eventually becomes the tyrannical President Snow in the Hunger Games universe – is just a young man going about his life. Schafer has been cast to play Tigris Snow, a key character who happens to be Coriolanus’ cousin and main confidante.
As a rising star in Hollywood who is beloved for her portrayal of Jules on Euphoria, Schafer is a fantastic addition to the cast of this Hunger Games prequel film.
Other cast members who have already been announced to appear in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes include Tom Blyth (who will play Coriolanus himself) and Rachel Zegler (who will play Lucy Gray Baird).
This prequel will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who was at the helm of the final three movies in The Hunger Games franchise: Catching Fire, Mockingjay Part One, and Mockingjay Part Two. Suzanne Collins, who wrote all of The Hunger Games novels, is also attached to the project as a contributing writer.
It seems like The Hunger Games franchise is about to be expanded even further. For now, may the odds be ever in your favor!
