Sterek hive rise up!

Polish your fangs and brush off your ships because Teen Wolf, the hit MTV show that aired between 2011 and 2017, will return for a movie in 2022!

After sharing throwbacks from the show all week, Tyler Posey, who stars in the series as Scott McCall, announced the sequel film on social media early Friday morning.

"We heard your howls," the video teases.

In its time, the supernatural teen series was hailed for its LGBTQ+ inclusiveness. It launched the career of out actor Colton Haynes, included several queer characters and storylines, and actors even embraced fandom ships between straight characters, nodding to Sterek (Stiles and Derek) on and off-camera.

It's unclear which of the cast will return for the film as of yet but we'll certainly have one eye open for any and all news.

Fans reacted as you'd expect:

Prepare yourselves for Teen Wolf: The Movie, coming 2022 on Paramount+.
