What if instead of letting the pressures of work and everyday life stop you from doing new things, you literally said "yes!" to every fun, adventurous idea that popped up in your head? What if you could make a whole day out of it with the ones you love most? Well, that's the challenge one family takes on in Netflix's latest title Yes Day!

The film stars Golden Globe winner and Alias legend Jennifer Garner (who we've stanned for years in iconic movies like 13 Going on 30, Juno, and Love, Simon) and American Crime Story alum Edgar Ramírez as husband and wife duo Allison and Carlos Torres, two former free souls who used to say yes to everything life threw their way, but since getting married and having kids, have become the overly-cautious, suburban busybodies they didn't think they'd ever become. But after the idea of having a "yes day" catches their attention, the Torres fam realizes they have a lot more fun in them than they thought!

PRIDE's Raffy Ermac, alongside contributor Emma Stauffer, got to chat with the legend herself Jennifer Garner, as well as her co-stars Edgar Ramírez, Everly Carganilla, Julian Lerner, and director Miguel Arteta to talk about Yes Day's Latinx representation, creating a family vibe on set, the importance of diversity in movies, and so much more!

"That was a big part of the intention of making the movie," Garner told PRIDE when asked about what it was like crafting a family-friendly film centering on a happy multiracial family, especially during a time in the world where so many people are going through a lot. "I personally was looking for more joy and always looking for more inclusion in any possible way, and so it was just so important to me to make something that anyone could have a fun time watching, anyone could feel joyful watching, and now that feels even more important than ever."

"It's important that our movies, our stories reflect the reality we live in," Ramírez added. "Diversity is part of our daily life. As a Latino living in the United States, as an immigrant, I'm very glad to be part of a story that celebrates diversity and inclusion."

Yes Day is now streaming on Netflix!
