If you've ever wanted to be as terrifyingly fabulous as the May Queen in Ari Aster's critically-acclaimed movie Midsommar, now might be your chance!
Indie film distributor A24 just announced that the iconic flower dress from the 2019 folk horror flick is going to be up for auction soon—but if you want to get your hands on it, it looks like you've got some stiff competition in the form of some of music's biggest names.
Apparently, Grammy winner and confirmed Lady Gaga collaborator Ariana Grande also wants to own the dress from the film!
"I was already planning to have it made anyway bye," Ari said in an exchange on her Instagram story with Midsommar star and Oscar nominee Florence Pugh. According to her, so many of her friends have been telling her about A24's auction.
"It even has hand holes for wine," the actress, who apparently is a fan of the idea of the "7 Rings" singer owning a the dress, told Ariana.
But Ari isn't the only pop princess vying for a floral piece of cinema history!
"Don't bid for the Midsommar May Queen outfit, don't bid for the Midsommar May Queen outfit," bi singer-songwriter Halsey said in a hilarious tweet when news of A24's auction started making the rounds.
But Midsommar isn't the only A24 title with merch up for grabs, though! The red hoodie Zendaya wore in the trans-inclusive HBO teen drama series Euphoria, as well as the mermaid figurine from the homoerotic, Robert Pattinson-starring drama The Lighthouse are also being sold, with proceeds benefitting the New York Fire Department's non-profit FDNY Foundation.
A24's auction opens up on April 27 at 12pm ET at A24Auctions.com!
