Here's Your First Look at 'Everybody's Talking About Jamie'
A drag-themed, coming-of-age musical film?!?! Sign us up!
Based on the hit, critically-acclaimed UK musical of the same name, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is 20th Century Studios' latest upcoming coming-of-age film that centers around a flamboyant, gay, femme teen and aspiring drag performer who is trying to find their place amongst a world full of haters and doubters.
Starring newcomer Max Harwood alongside Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Samuel Bottomley, with Sharon Horgan and Richard E. Grant, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie looks like the kind of colorful and loud production we've been dreaming of for years, and we can't wait until we finally get to see it on the big screen!
"Jamie New is 16 and doesn’t quite fit in—instead of pursuing a "real" career he dreams of becoming a drag queen. Uncertain about his future, Jamie knows one thing for sure: he is going to be a sensation," the film's official description reads. "Supported by his loving mom and his amazing friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies, and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight."
