Hally Bailey, one half of R&B duo Chloe x Halle, is ready to be a part of your world!

The Grown-ish star will play Ariel in Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, Variety reports.

“After an extensive search, it was abundantly clear that Halle possesses that rare combination of spirit, heart, youth, innocence, and substance — plus a glorious singing voice — all intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role,” said director Rob Marshall.

The movie will reportedly feature new songs from the 1989 film's original composer Alan Menken and Hamilton creator Lin Manuel Miranda, who is also a producer of the film.

Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina are the other confirmed castmates, and Melissa McCarthy is in talks to play Ursula. With a black leading lady, will Ariel's royal mermaid family be black? If so, I volunteer Idris Elba as King Triton!
