Does the Final 'Fantastic Beasts 2' Trailer Have a Gay Moment?

The final trailer was just released, and it's...something.

The final trailer for the upcoming Harry Potter universe film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was just released, and from the looks of it, there just might actually be a moment hinting at Young Dumbledore's sexuality...

Although we were majorly let down earlier this year when it was reported that the Fantastic Beasts sequel wouldn't feature any scenes that explicitly explored Dumbledore's (played by Jude Law) queerness, after watching the final teaser for Grindewald, we might just get a little bit of something

"...the trailer shows Law uncovering the franchise’s famous Mirror of Erised, which shows the user their deepest desire," reports People Magazine. "Dumbledore’s desire just so happens to be the young Grindelwald he fell in love with when the two were both teenagers. Law’s Dumbledore is also transformed into his younger self for a brief moment, and the two characters join hands on opposite sides of the mirror while looking intensely at each other."

Since we haven't seen the film yet, we're not sure how big of a deal this scene will be overall, but considering all of the straightwashing controversy Fantastic Beasts has been wrapped up in this year (Jude Law even defended the decision to not make Dumbledore explicitly gay on screen), we're still left with a weird taste in our mouths.

One brief scene hinting at Dumbledore being gay and loving a man is better than absolutely nothing, but forgive us if we're not jumping for joy over the representation, especially considering all of the other awesome movies that came out this year that featured queer AF lead characters...
