Ever since the debut of the infamous peach scene from 2017's gay, coming-of-age film Call Me by Your Name, Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet (who starred as Elio in the movie), has remained a rising star in queer community. (Despite, you know, not actually being a member of the LGBT community...)
Anyways, during a recent interview for the November issue of i-D conducted by One Direction alum and fellow twink Harry Styles, Chalamet and the "Sign of the Times" singer got intimate on the topics of CMBYN's sequel, as well as Chalamet's, um...love...for peaches.
Harry: There have been rumblings of a sequel, are you nervous about carrying on a story that so many people loved?
Timothée: We made the first movie in the humble hope that fans of the books would go and see it. I would love to do a sequel, that challenge is really exciting to me.
H: Can you still eat peaches?
T:[Laughs] Umm I can, but not without thinking about it…
H: I’ve had a hard time…
T: [Laughs again] That’s the most awkward scene to see with your parents in the whole world. My poor father…
H: I’m sure he’s done it too.
Chalamet has been picking up quite the amount of buzz while currently promoting his new drama film, Beautiful Boy, opposite Steve Carell. The Oscar contender just might snag another nomination following CMBYN, and who knows what that might mean for it's inevitable sequel!
