Hush Up, Sweet Charlotte is based on a real movie. Seriously. It's a parody of the 1964 Academy Award-winning film Hush… Hush, Sweet Charlotte (don't feel bad — we hadn't heard of it either).

The hilarious spoof stars some of the biggest names in drag (Matthew Martin, Varla Jean Merman and Raja Gemini), and they're chemistry is amazing. Although their performances might not be Oscar-worthy (not being mean; it's true), they're ridiculously funny.

Hush Up, Sweet Charlotte has so much to offer; the drag performances are legit, the characters are Halloween-costume material and the car scene is hilar.

But if you're not convinced, here are three reasons you need Hush Up, Sweet Charlotte in your life:

1. Raja Gemini

This is a photo of Raja Gemini.

You probably know Raja from America's Next Top Model or RuPaul's Drag Race. She makes a fierce appearance as a reporter in Hush Up, Sweet Charlotte, so keep an eye out for her.

2. Varla Jean Merman

This is a GIF of Varla Jean Merman.

Varla became a drag superstar way before Willam Belli took a hole pic. Until this film, we hadn't heard of her (sorry, Varla), but now we're obsessed with Varla's bouncing bosom and on-point comedic timing.

3. It's based on a "real movie"

This is a gif of Betty Davis from Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte.

Hush Up, Sweet Charlotte pays homage to Hush… Hush, Sweet Charlotte, which stars Betty Davis as Charlotte Hollis. Here's a viewing tip: Watch them back-to-back; it makes both films so much better.

Ready to watch Hush Up, Sweet Charlotte? It's available on Vimeo On Demand, so stop what you're doing (studying, working, etc.) and watch it right now.

Like, right now.
