Meet John Raspado, the Filipino Man Who Was Just Named Mr. Gay World

According to NewNowNext, the handsome, 36-year-old Pinoy heartthrob beat out 40 other men from all over the world to win the grand title.

Now that John has an international platform, according to the Mr. Gay World Philippines Facebook page, he is using it to "to modernize the image towards gay men and eradicate the stereotypes from public perception" and "bridge the gap within the people of the LGBTQI community."

John is also a big name in raising awareness for HIV/AIDS screening and prevention, and will use his title as Mr. Gay World to continue to do so.
