Meet the Portland, Ore. girlfriends who were voted to be princesses as part of their high school’s homecoming court! Laurel Osborne and her girlfriend Sophia Schoenfeld of Cleveland High School in Portland, told a local news affiliate that the coolest thing about becoming part of the homecoming court was that it was not a big deal for their classmates to vote for them.

The couple did not win the top homecoming titles, as that is not put to a vote, but rather a relay race, which they did not win. Still, they said they had a blast being a part of the festivities and riding on the royalty float.

"At first, I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I thought, 'That's cool.' But there was an article written about it and it was really cool when I noticed how much of an impact it had," Schoenfeld told KPTV. "A lot of teachers came up to us and said, 'Congratulations, it's a really big step.'"

Osborne added, "Everyone in our class congratulated us and was super excited about it.”

Congrats to the couple! Watch them below.
