In our ongoing efforts to dish the dirt on how, when, and where our readers do the deed, we bring you the latest batch of results from our second annual lesbian sex survey.
Previously, we dove into the demographics of the more than 2,000 people who took our survey. This time around, we're getting a tad more intimate — and asking those who identify as gay or lesbian if they've earned their gold star by never having sex with a member of the opposite gender.
An impressive 40% of respondents said they never had sex with someone of the opposite sex before coming out. That means 60% of you did have straight sex before you came out, but we were surprised by the high number of folks who hadn't experimented with heterosexuality.
The 40% gold-star rating was backed up in an additional question that asked those who had sex with someone of the opposite gender before coming out how many times they had straight sex. Again, 38% responded that the question wasn't applicable. A plurality of respondents said they'd had straight sex "more than once" or "too many times to count" before coming out, with 26% and 30% answering respectively.
While 60% of respondents said they'd experimented with straight sex before coming out, almost the same percentage said they have not had sex with someone of the opposite gender since coming out. So it seems that once our respondents figured out what they liked, they stuck with it.
Stay tuned for even more racy results!
