Target has been getting a lot of attention lately for its seemingly remade image on LGBT equality. The newest sign of change comes in a lesbian-inclusive advertisement for its online wedding registry.
The ad appeared on The Advocate's website (a sister site to our own) and complements a same-sex male version that was being passed around online earlier this year.
Target had been in hot water in recent years with LGBT consumers and their allies for backing antigay candidates with political donations. But the company responded to the backlash by swearing off future contributions.
Then it went so far as to sell Pride T-shirts in stores and greeting cards for same-sex weddings. See the latest ad below.
