Simply diVine, the LA Gay & Lesbian Center's premiere food and wine event raises funds to help support the vital services of the Center. This year's event was held at Melrose Place, a charming, tree-lined boutique shopping nook in Los Angeles, and was co-chaired by out celebrity chef Susan Feniger (who was also signing copies of her new cookbook), LAGLC board member David Bailey and Wendy Melford.
More than 600 people attended the tasting event with more than 30 wineries and makers of craft beers/spirits and over 20 of LA’s most popular restaurants. Simply diVine! also included an auction of travel packages, fine dining, fine wines and more. By the end of the night, more than $150,000 was raised to help fund LAGLC’s services such as youth mentoring and development, seniors services, cultural arts and education, HIV/AIDS medical care, homeless youth services and more.
