Want a Better Work Life? Marry a Woman Says Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg says gender inequity doesn't only exist at work, but also at home -- reason enough for more women to simply marry other women to their heart's content.

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg says gender inequity doesn't only exist at work, but also at home -- reason enough for more women to simply marry other women to their heart's content.

"In America, if a couple works full-time, the woman does three times the amount of childcare and two times the amount of house care the man does, and that's if they both work full time," she said according to Jezebel. "Essentially, he's got one job, and she's got two to three. So when it comes time to drop out of the workforce, who do you think drops out? ...We must change the expectations of who does what in the home."

Therefore, Sandberg, who juggles her own impressive work life and family, says that her husband -- Survey Monkey CEO David Goldberg -- is "amazing," but more women have to remember that to achieve satisfaction in work and at home, they must marry the right spouse.

"If you marry a man, marry the right one," she says. "If you can marry a woman, that's better because the split between two women in the home is pretty even, the data shows."
