In the heart of Fort Lauderdale's gay neighborhood sat New Moon, this bar was one of those "where everybody knows your name" places. I actually got to go to the New Moon farewell party, and I think the only time I've ever seen more queer women was at New York's Dyke March. Now, the bar has been remodeled and reopened for gay men, but every Wednesday night they will still have ladies' night with the New Moon bartenders.
