Time for another installment of PRIDE’s ongoing Netflix & Chill series, where I watch and review some of the popular movie streaming service’s many LGBTQIA+ films!
This week, I reviewed Mala Mala, a documentary directed by Antonio Santini and Dan Sickles that chronicles the lives of members of Puerto Rico's transgender community. The doc, which was one of the selections at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival, is critically acclaimed for not only its stunning visuals, but for offering a diverse portrayal of trans people and gender nonconforming experiences.
Watch my review in the video below, and let me know what you think of Mala Mala in the comments and on Twitter! And to watch other episodes in the Netflix & Chill series, click here.
