To Watch or Crotch? That is the question. Kat Blaque has your answer.
Another week, another LGBT film! As part of PRIDE's ongoing Netflix and Chill series, where I watch and review some of the popular movie streaming service's many LGBTQIA+ films, I reviewed the queer-themed coming-of-age film Pariah, which was one of the selections at the popular and esteemed Sundance Film Festival in 2011.
The film follows a teenage girl named Alike as she navigates life while trying to figure out how to come out as a lesbian to her family. It's one of the few films on Netflix that features LGBT people of color, and I was really excited to watch it for that reason!
Watch my review in the video below, and let us know what your thoughts on Pariah are in the comments below and on Twitter!
