Get ready dolls... HGTV is bringing out the glam.
On the brand-new show Battle of the Bling, Todrick Hall teams up with interior designer Kim Miles to check out some of the most extra homes around the country.
The winner gets serious bragging rights, a spread in HGTV magazine, and an over-the-top trophy... because why not.
"It is a wild rollercoaster ride of decor, of personalities, of experiences... it's really insane. I really love getting to see how these people, who are cut from a very similar cloth as I am, how they live and how they make their space be an expression of them," Hall tells PRIDE.
Hall is the latest LGBTQ+ star to join HGTV's lineup of queer hosts who bring all forms of representation to everyday homes.
"There was a time not too long ago when I would have thought I'm probably not someone that the HGTV audience would like to see. I love that things are changing and people are being so progressive. Kim and I are both people of color and I applaud HGTV for putting two black voices up on camera. Every single person has the right to feel seen."
Battle of the Bling isn't the first time Hall has brought his talent to reality TV. The star has notably appeared as a judge and choreographer on RuPaul's Drag Race and most recently came in second place on Celebrity Big Brother.
"This is not something that I ever thought I would be doing. Reality TV is not something that I ever aspired to do, but it has taught me a lot. It has taught me a lot about myself. I've gotten to learn a lot of valuable lessons."
Although it's been a minute since Hall appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race, the star is still hanging out and working with the queens around the country. In fact, he just completed a Christmas tour with many alumni from the hit show.
"It's really awesome to get to be a peer of theirs and not have to be a host or judge or choreographer. Just to be in the room and get to know them in a way that I never could, even though we worked together on camera. There was a lot of tongue popping, clapping, snapping, and death dropping in the audiences... which is what I came to do."
Battle of the Bling premieres Friday, December 9 on HGTV. To see the full interview with Todrick Hall, check out the video below.
