Save a horse, ride a cowboy!
Orville Peck wowed fans of RuPaul's Drag Race for his amazing energy and sickening outfit on the recent "Wigloose" episode.
The singer also confided in the season 15 queens during the latest episode of Untucked, where he opened up on his desire to help showcase more LGBTQ+ voices in the country music world.
In a recent interview with PRIDE, Peck revealed which queen he hopes will take home the crown.
"I think there's a lot of talent on this season, but I got to give it up to the icon... my girl Sasha Colby. That's who I'm rooting for," Peck tells PRIDE.
For fans who loved watching Peck as a judge on Drag Race, then buckle up for his exciting new TV gig.
Peck is joining Jimmie Allen and Mickey Guyton as judges for the brand new competition show My Kind of Country. With Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Musgraves also serving as executive producers, country music is taking on new heights in this new series.
"There's a lot of marginalized groups that are underrepresented in country unfortunately, not just LGBTQ+. We all very proudly are bringing our perspectives and sharing them. There's people in the cast that are from every walk of life. All of these artists are bringing their own stories. It feels like a really beautiful moment, for not just this show and us, but just for country music in general," Peck says.
Jimmie Allen and Mickey Guyton are also thrilled to push the limits of country music by showcasing very diverse backgrounds and stories on My Kind of Country.
"Country has been great all over the world and I was eager to hear it and see it," Allen says.
"Fans get a front row seat into these artist's minds. You get to see their hearts and that's just so important. To know that I can be a beacon for people that are marginalized... it's a huge responsibility that gives me so much fufillment," Guyton concludes.
My Kind of Country premieres March 24 on Apple TV+. To see the full interview with Orville Peck, Jimmie Allen, and Mickey Guyton, check out the video below.
