Order quickly... horror is in store.
Judith Light is adding another dynamic character to her impressive acting resume in the new movie The Menu.
"You're talking about a woman who's really sold herself out on a lot of levels, just to be in a relationship where she has money. Nobody is really there in that relationship and I think in some level, there's a woman who's living in a prison that she can't get herself out of... until she does," Light tells PRIDE.
The Emmy and Tony-winning actress has a history of tackling diverse roles throughout her career, going all the way back to her big debut on Broadway and on the daytime soap One Life to Live in the '70s.
"I feel really grateful. You go through periods where you don't have anything and then all of the sudden, something really interesting will come along like The Menu. I have this time now where I'm looking at these different kinds of things that I really choose to do. All of these choices are very different than anything else that I ever thought I would do and The Menu really falls into that."
Speaking of passion projects, Light has used her voice and platform to fight for LGBTQ+ rights and those living with HIV/AIDS since the early 1980s. Soon, she'll combine her advocacy and storytelling in an upcoming movie.
"I just signed on to executive produce an animated short called Falling. It's about this very special love story between two men. I have to do this."
