It may not be Pride Month yet, but this album said gay rights!
JORDY's sophomore album BOY drops this Friday and is taking fans on a personal journey that many people will relate to.
The 12-track record has everything from bangers to soft ballads and plenty of sampling that music aficionados will enjoy. In a new interview with PRIDE, the pop boy breaks down his current favs from the album.
"I cannot stop listening to 'luv u, bye.' That is one of my absolute favorites, especially if I'm feeling like I want to dance and I just want to drive with the top down and vibe. I'm fully obsessed with it. The lyrics are super fun and the beat is so euphoric. It makes me so happy listening to it. After every conversation with anyone, it could be someone I just met, I'm just very quick to be like 'love you, bye.' There's such depth to that. The song is about leading with love," JORDY tells PRIDE.
Love is a common theme throughout the entire record, including the highs and lows of every type of relationship.
"If we're getting into a moody, sad song kind of moment, 'Unburnable' is one of my favorite songs I've ever written. 'Unburnable' isn't in the dictionary, but that song is also really special to me. It's about keeping little pieces of your past and not necessarily needing to burn them in order to move on. You're going to go through many important experiences and just because you're moved on from it, doesn't mean that you can't hold little pieces of that in your heart."
One of the most relatable songs on the album is "Hypothetical Party" which will resonate to anyone who identifies as an introvert or has had a little social anxiety in public scenarios.
"That song is my truth. I am a socially anxious person, especially being in LA. I'm going to be at home eating pizza because that's my safe space. I have always been that way. I guess we're all a little socially anxious and that's okay!"
BOY is available on all platforms this Friday. To see the full interview with JORDY, check out the video below.
