JHart Talks Working With Troye Sivan & Upcoming Debut EP

It's JHart's time to shine!

Music lovers have belted out plenty of JHart's songs throughout the years as he's written a ton of hits for popular artists like Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Charlie Puth, and many more.

"I love writing for others. I'm a Gemini. I like to wear many hats, so writing for others really gives me such a free outlet to try a bunch of different things," JHart tells PRIDE.

The songwriter has truly embraced his queerness and sexuality in the studio. He also loves collaborating with other queer talent, including Troye Sivan, as the two worked together on Sivan's hit song "Angel Baby."

"For years, I would cover myself up in rooms. Now, being able to just walk into a room and just be the version of myself that I've always wanted to be is so powerful. Troye is so fearless. He knows exactly what he wants. Working with a gay artist hits a spot in me. I was really grateful that got to happen."

Although his songwriting credits are through the roof, JHart is finally stepping up to the mic on his debut EP. The star has appeared on some singles in the past, including the LGBTQ+ bop "Feel On Me," but he's ready for his own body of work to be released.

"We're getting a little bit more soul. The EP is called The Wishing. The Wanting. The Longing. The first single will be out in the next couple months. I'm always trying to put my gay experience into music and more fearlessly so the last few years, because of this younger generation and how far we've come."
