On this season of RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under, the star athlete serves as a guest judge during one of the episodes of the iconic show.

Cavallo made history in 2021 when he came out as the first openly gay player to currently compete in top-flight male soccer. This was a huge moment for male sports around the world as homophobia rose in athletics.

By appearing in an upcoming episode of Drag Race Down Under, Cavallo is bringing more visibility to queer representation in all fields.

"It was a huge dream of mine. It was on my bucket list. RuPaul means so much more to me than I thought," Cavallo tells PRIDE.

As a trailblazer in the world of athletics, Cavallo says RuPaul gave him the confidence to embrace his sexuality and live authentically despite how scary it can be to come out.

"When I was younger and I didn't have that role model in football, that's what RuPaul was for me. RuPaul is painting such an iconic picture in the drag industry. That's something that I wanted to do in the football world. When I met her and spoke to her, it was phenomenal to compare our two different worlds. I never get starstruck with people, but it was really cool to see."

Although Cavallo only appears as guest judge on Drag Race, the athlete hinted that he'd be open to competing in an iconic lip sync on the mainstage sometime in the future.

"If mother RuPaul [told] me to put heels on and get on that stage, I would have absolutely slayed it! I'm telling you right now. I would have given it everything! They better hook me up with a good song. You know what was the best thing? When I was there, I felt at home."
