Where is Lucrecia now?

Elite is the pop culture phenomenon that ran for eight seasons on Netflix and starred a slew of sexy actors who portrayed high school teenagers as they navigate murder, scandal, and jaw-dropping plot twists.

Danna Paola played Lucrecia "Lu" Montesinos Hendrich during the first three seasons of the hit show. By the end of season three, Lu moves to New York to pursue her dreams of higher education, which sadly resulted in Paola's departure from the series.

While attending the 33rd Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in Los Angeles, Paola spilled on where she thinks Lu is today.

"I just flew out, you know! Lucrecia just evolved. Maybe she's in fashion [and] she's like the new Miranda Priestly," Paola tells PRIDE.

Since her time on Elite, Paola has become a superstar beyond her acting credits. The multi-hyphenate has also shined in the world of music with her hit songs "Mala Fama," "Idiota," "Nada," and many more receiving millions of streams across the globe.

Plus, the powerhouse recently served as the voice actress for Elphaba in the Spanish-dubbed version of Wicked. All of her success is very much deserved, but Paola knows that the passionate Elite fans helped her get to where she is today.

"For me, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life as an actress. That character changed my life worldwide. That project changed everything and it was seven years ago. I feel really grateful for the fans."

Although her star is only on the rise, Paola knows her fanbase is largely made up of the LGBTQ+ community and she's proud to be a fierce ally to her queer peers.

"I love the gays baby! Everything is just for the girls and the gays. They're my family and my everything. They raised me for sure. It is my heart. I'm who I am because of them. I love you forever."
