With everything that’s happening in our country, it’s nice to actually shed some happy tears, instead of ones of pain and frustration.

Ryan Murphy, the creator of numerous hit TV series including Pose, American Horror Story, Glee, and Scream Queens, took to Instagram to share some positive news with the world.

The director and his husband just donated $10 million to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles for helping their son win the battle against cancer. Two years ago, Murphy’s son, Ford Theodore Miller Murphy, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma – an often fatal cancer. After a huge surgery and many difficult procedures, Ford is thriving today. To show his appreciation, Murphy donated the whopping sum to the hospital.

In addition to thanking the hospital for their hard work, Murphy also thanked his husband, David Miller, for being the “rock” through everything.
