LGBTQ people always do Halloween like no others, but this year one internet trend brought the best costumes straight to the front!

The queer community always goes all out on Halloween, but this year we really showed up and showed out — with a hilarious meme!

All of the best Halloween costumes this year were gathered up and packaged into a singular trend. It started on X (formerly Twitter) last year with this tweet:

From dressing up like Mercutio in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet to donning a "Melissa Mccarthy in the 2011 hidden valley ranch taste test SNL skit" costume, everyone took this format and ran with it, posting all of their highly niche costumes in posts formatted to start with "I hate gay Halloween, what do you mean you're..."

None of them disappointed. They were all spectacular. Here are 35 of our favorites to keep you chuckling all the way through Halloweekend Part II.
