Have you ever wanted to experience the action of a video game in your butt? You’re in luck.
The video game Ultrakill has garnered a lot of attention for its fast-paced gameplay and excellent scoring system. But now it may have a new claim to fame, and it involves, well... a butt plug.
The game’s developer, Arsi “Hakita” Patala, shared the fantastic, paradigm-shifting news. According to Hakita, a new update to the game would add a fresh, unique way to play — and it took the gaming world by surprise. Titled the “sex update,” it includes a little feature called “UKButt”.
What does this “mod” to the normal game do? Well, it adds buttplug.io support, which, according to its site, is an “open-source standards and software project for controlling intimate hardware, including sex toys, fucking machines, and more.” In this case, it enables players to control their game through a keyboard, mouse, and a sex toy.
“Yes, the "Sex Update" is finally here
After the launch of the new update, buttplug.io added a special message for Ultrakill’s players on its homepage. “WELCOME ULTRAKILL PLAYERS!,” it reads. “Check out the UKButt official Mod for Ultrakill! Need hardware? Check out Lovense, Kiiroo, Satisfyer, and others for toys that will work with the game!”
When asked on Twitter why he decided to add this feature, Hakita responded with a simple, “We know our fans.”
Said fans have taken to the game’s Steam page to express their love for the new feature. The question is: Will this lead more game developers to follow suit? As it turns out, this isn’t the first title to embrace this technology: Rust also added this functionality recently.
Ultrakill’s developer released a video where an Xbox controller is used as a stand-in for the toy, showing how it would vibrate. The answer is a lot. So, if you’ve wanted to gain a deeper appreciation for your games (literally), maybe give Ultrakill a shot.
