Tom Taylor dropped some facts while serving up a superhero level clap back.

Comic writer Tom Taylor is setting the record straight after conservative media falsely reported his Superman run was going out of print because of the main hero coming out as bisexual.

The fifth issue of Superman: Son of Kal-El made waves last year as it saw Jon Kent, the son of Clark Kent and the guy currently carrying the mantle of Superman in that particular run, embrace his bisexuality and share a kiss with then-crush Jay Nakamura.

While many were thrilled at the representation and inclusivity, the usual suspects clutched their pearls and cried about a “woke agenda” to anyone who would listen.

A full year later, they appear to still be at it, as Sky News host Rowan Dean went on an unhinged rant this week claiming DC is canceling the series after going “woke and broke” with poor sales.

“Are we really surprised that a story about a climate alarmist, pro-immigration, homosexual son of Superman turns out to be kryptonite to readers?” he asked.

Except, that’s literally not what happened at all.

Taylor hopped in to set the record straight, pointing out that not only was the latest issue of the series the #1 selling comic on Amazon at the time, but that claiming the title has been canceled is a gross misrepresentation of what’s happening.

“Try reporting facts,” Taylor remarked.

Son of Kal-El is technically ending, but will be immediately continued in Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent starting early next year, providing Jon’s character increased visibility and keeping the existing story in tact.

Of course, the truth isn’t quite as flashy as claiming stories about LGBTQ+ characters aren’t financially viable. But as long as Jon Kent is still out there kissing boys and saving the world, we're the ones who stay winning — no matter what these "reports" claim.
