Love drag? Love video games? Get ready for SlayStation: The Master Ball!

The London-based event series is ramping things up for the new year, preparing to go hard with what they are already calling their “biggest show ever.”

SlayStation launched last December, promising a space for queer folks who are into gaming to get their geek on, and mingle with others who share their interests. Since then, it’s picked up steam, gathering a devoted following in person and spreading the joy of their events on TikTok.

The Master Ball, a name that is undoubtedly a reference to the most powerful device used to capture Pokémon, boasts special guests from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Kim Chi and Dakota Schiffer, and encourages attendees to dress up in themed costumes for the chance to win prizes.

“Whether you’ve been to a previous sell-out show or seen us go viral on TikTok, you won’t find a night like this anywhere else in the world,” reads the official event info.

The event itself will take place at The Clapham Grand in London on January 21, 2023, although video will undoubtedly make its way to the internet after the fact. With it doing so well in the UK, we can only hope such an exciting niche event might one day make its way to other cities as well for nerdy queers around the world to take part in.

But for now, we can appreciate from afar!
