Fabien Frankel is reminding us just how much of a Matt Smith fan he is.

The actor, who stars as Ser Criston Cole in House of the Dragon, has not kept his appreciation for Smith (Daemon Targaryen) under wraps during the show’s first season run, and that doesn't seem likely to change any time soon.

During a recent appearance at Comic Con Stockholm, he reportedly told fans that he was jealous Milly Alcock (Rhaenyra Targaryen) got to kiss the actor in season one.

Smith and Alcock’s characters are uncle and niece, but fans are fully accustomed to incest ships in anything related to Game of Thrones. But it sounds like if Frankel had his way, Rhaenyra would have a rival for her uncle’s affections.

He previously told the Times of London that he and Smith had discussed the chemistry between their two characters during a heated tournament scene.

“We had a blast shooting those scenes. We really liked each other a lot. I remember Matt saying, ‘Maybe they’re flirting, Criston and Daemon,’” Frankel said. “It’s funny because I thought that in private but I didn’t want to say anything in case it felt controversial.”

He also called the actor “damn sexy in this show,” saying “he’s the sexiest I’ve ever seen him.”

As much as some fans are devoted to the uncle/niece romantic relationship, if the show wanted to make Daemon and Criston canonically bisexual and have a go at it, it sounds like the actors would be very on board. Besides, that might open Rhaenyra up for yet another evolution of her complicated relationship with Alicent Hightower.
