Thought Chucky was gone? Think again! The season two trailer is here, and its oh-so very queer.

The doll that never (and always) dies is back in the trailer for season two of Syfy’s creepy series based on the Child’s Play franchise, along with a number of other familiar faces from season one.

After Chucky’s scheme to invade children’s hospitals across the United States didn’t go according to plan, thanks to Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Björgvin Arnarson), and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), the upcoming season will revolve around his attempts to take revenge on the unlikely trio, as well as his ex, Tiffany Valentine (Jennifer Tilly).

The trailer itself suggests trouble in paradise for fan fave couple Jake and Devon as they both struggle to come to terms with the body count that trailed Jake because of his connection to Chucky (voiced once again by Brad Dourif), while Lexy looks to be dealing with her own trauma in the vein of every teen soap ever — doing drugs and turning to a grunge phase.

Particularly delightful is Devon Sawa’s appearance as a third character on the show, a priest of some sort who doesn’t believe there’s something going on with Chucky (“It’s just a doll,” he ignorantly tells Jake).

The trailer also features the highly anticipated debut of Glen/Glenda (played by nonbinary actor Lachlan Watson), Chucky and Tiffany’s child who was split into two human bodies back in Seed of Chucky.

As for Chucky himself, he’s busy wreaking havoc and stabbing everyone who gets in his way, which seems likely to involve a bunch of nuns and undoubtedly a new wave of teenagers.

The second season is once again helmed by original Child’s Play writer Don Mancini and will also see the return of actors Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, and Barbara Alyn Woods, Meg Tilly. It will feature a mini Bound reunion with Gina Gershon and Joe Pantoliano, joining in the cast. Tony Nappo, Sutton Stracke, and Lara Jean Chorosteckialso also come to play in the ever-expanding world.

Check out the season premiere on Syfy and USA on October 5.
